On January 9th, 2020 NVRECC received a 9-1-1 call for an adult male who was not responsive and not breathing in Berlin. NVRECC dispatched ALS services. Dispatcher Haas immediately began giving CPR instructions to the caller over the phone. She assisted the caller in giving several rounds of CPR providing encouragement and excellent instructions until first responders arrived. Her quick actions, along with those of her coworkers at NVRECC, Berlin EMTS, and Patriot Ambulance helped to resuscitate the patient, who survived.
