Police Communications Successfully Migrate at 10:00 a.m. Today

Hudson, MA — The Town of Hudson and the Nashoba Valley Regional Dispatch District (NVRDD) are pleased to announce the successful completion of the final phase of Hudson’s transition to regionalized emergency communications. At 10:00 a.m. today, Hudson Police Department communications officially migrated to NVRDD, marking the full integration of Hudson’s emergency services into the district.

This final milestone follows the earlier transition of Hudson’s Fire and EMS communications and represents a major step forward in enhancing public safety services for the community. By joining the regional dispatch model, Hudson benefits from increased staffing depth, improved technology, streamlined operations, and 24/7 dedicated emergency communication support.

“We are proud to welcome Hudson’s police communications into the district and complete this important initiative,” said Anne Camaro, Executive Director of NVRDD. “Regionalization strengthens emergency response by providing greater resiliency, advanced technology, and a collaborative approach that serves our communities more effectively.”

Hudson Town leadership also emphasized the long-term value to residents. “This transition ensures that Hudson receives the highest standard of emergency communication services while maximizing efficiency and cost savings,” said Hudson Police Chief Richard DiPersio. “We are grateful for the professionalism and dedication shown by both Hudson’s public safety teams and the NVRDD staff throughout this process.”

All emergency calls for Hudson Police, Fire, and EMS services will now be processed through NVRDD’s state-of-the-art regional communications center located in Devens.
